摘要

婚姻暴力已是國際及臺灣社會關注的問題，醫師應培養處理婚暴的能力，本文以婚姻中的身體暴力爲討論主題，首先介紹一個重複性婚暴的調解案例，藉此案例引申出問題並依序討論：一、婚暴的成因，二、醫師如何處理婚暴，包括七部分：通知家庭暴力防治中心、危險性評估、運用保護令、驗傷診療、評估身心症狀、評估家庭關係及資源使用，最後報告參與家事調解的經驗。

Marital violence is a prevalent social problem in Taiwan and around the world. Primary-care physicians should develop skills in the management of marital violence. This article provides recommendations for primary-care physicians who encounter battered women or domestic violence offenders. It begins with a case report of marital violence and then discusses causes of marital violence and steps that primary-care physicians can take to address the problem. These include informing the Domestic Violence Prevention Committee, making danger assessments, making use of Domestic Violence Protection Orders, documenting the violence in victims' medical records, evaluating the physical and mental status of the victim and offender, evaluating the couple's marital problems, and seeking help. The article ends with a report of the authors' experiences of family mediation.
