The present paper deals the constant partially accelerated life test under the progressive Type-II censoring. Assuming that the lifetimes of test items follow Burr Type-XII distribution, the Bayes estimation procedure is used to obtain the Bayes estimates f or unknown distribution parameters and the acceleration factor. The symmetric and asymmetric both risk criteria are used for the estimation. The analysis of the present discussion has carried out by a real life example and a simulation study both.

Using a sample of 558 Indian companies’ financial indicators, during the period 2002–2016, the study investigates empirically the utility of key financial variables that could mitigate the credit risk by improving information on the probability of wilful defaults. The paper has attempted to build a credit risk model using logistic regression to predict the probability of wilful defaulters and classify them with that of the non-defaulting companies. This study has employed an ex-ante approach to pre-empt identification of wilful defaults at an early stage. This could avert/minimize the high costs associated with identification, declaration and legal recourse undertaken by filing a suit. The result of this model with introduction of three cash flow variables has contributed positively to the existing financial distress prediction model. Further, it is empirically tested that the high outstanding debt increases the probability of wilful defaults since the benefits exceeds its implied costs. The resulting estimate from logistic regressions demonstrates that they are statistically significant and the coefficient estimates’ signs also possess the predicted sign. The model developed is able to classify with an accuracy of more than 70%, the likelihood of wilful default in the next 2–3 years and the non-defaulting companies with an accuracy of around 98.0% on the above data-set.

The purpose of this paper is to develop empirical formulations appropriate for analyzing poverty with a view of an unbalanced growth theory. It links Foster-Greer-Thorbecke class of poverty with backward linkages. To accelerate poverty reduction requires a different magnitude of interventions in the leading industries. This difference reflects intersectoral linkage among industries and agents across the economy. Also, this devised tool can provide an indicative amount of exogenous demanded shock aimed at ending poverty. Lastly, the formulations are applied to the economy of Thailand. However, due to the limitation of data, an amount of minimum requirement to eliminate of poverty mainly depends on output multipliers.

In this paper, a group acceptance sampling plan for resubmitted lots is developed to ensure the lifetime quality of products for the Kumaraswamy Burr XII (KwBXII) distribution. The KwBXII distribution includes many commonly used data distributions as special cases, such as the Weibull distribution, Burr XII distribution, log-Logistic distribution and so on. When the consumer’s risk, producer's risk, number of testers, and the test termination times are pre-specified, the design parameters can be determined by a two-point criterion for the proposed sampling plans. An example is applied to demonstrate the proposed sampling plan.

Objectives: This study aims to analyze various psychological propensities with fuzzy questionnaires in physical education. Motivations: Fuzzy questionnaires with fuzzy statistical analysis can better reflect people's psychological thinking. Method: Fuzzy descriptive statistics, fuzzy correlation coefficients and fuzzy regression models. Finding: Comparing among three scales, fuzzy Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO), Cronbach's α and traditional one: fuzzy Mastery- Avoidance had a positive correlation with self-esteem. Fuzzy positive self-esteem significantly impacted predictive Mastery-Approach (AF_MA) and Mastery-Avoidance (AF_M_a); while traditional positive self-esteem significantly impacted predictive Performance-Avoidance (A_P_a) and Mastery-Avoidance (AF_M_a). Further, fuzzy and traditional negative self-esteem significantly impacted predictive AF_MA, simultaneously fuzzy negative self-esteem significantly impacted predictive AF_MA. Only fuzzy negative self-esteem significantly impacted predictive AF_MA. Innovations: Traditional psychological examination technology has been used for many years, while a new approach with fuzzy statistical analysis on artificial intelligence technology will promote the quality of sampling survey and marketing information. Value: This study offered new examination skill in analyzing psychological propensity in physical education.
