本文在評估中密度纖維板(MDF)應用家具接合之可行性,文中分別試驗實木與實木、實木與MDF及MDF與MDF之間,木釘、方榫及橢圓榫接合時之引拔及靜曲強度,試驗結果如下:1.三種材料組合之三種接合方式之引拔及靜曲強度大小,依序為橡膠木-橡膠木(WW)>橡膠木-MDF(MM)>MDF-MDF(MM);各榫接法之引拔及靜曲強度則為橢圓榫接合>方榫接合>木釘接合。2.當橡膠木橫檔以MDF取代後與對照組比較結果,在引拔強度方面,木釘接合仍保留86.9%之強度,方榫及橢圓榫接合則為65.1及63.0%之強度;而靜曲強度則三種接合分別仍保留84.7%、82.0%及86.6%。3.當縱檔及橫檔皆以MDF取代橡膠木後,在引拔強度方面,木釘接合約保57.5%之強度,方榫及橢圓榫則為46.8%及45.3%;而靜曲強度之三種接合保留值依序分別為57.7%、37.8%及50.0%。4.MDF之橢圓榫接合引拔及靜曲強度隨榫長、榫厚及榫寬之增加而增加,且以榫長的增加更具效益。5.榫接法中以桶圓樟接合之按合剛性較佳,而樟接因子中以樟寬的增加較能提高接合剛性。
This paper evaluated the feasibility of application of MDF on Various joint in furniture construction. The withdrawal strength with three joint methods were evaluated. The three material combinations were rubberwood-rubberwood(WW), rubberwood-MDF (WM) and MDF-MDF (MM). And the three joint methods were dowel joint, square-end and oval-end mortise and tenon joint. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The withdrawal strength and maximun bending moment of three material combinations on al I joints showed the following tendency: rubberwood- rubberwood(WW) > rubberwood-MDF(WM) > MDF-MDF(MM). However, for the joint methods, the tendency is: oval-end mortise and tenon joint>square-end mortise and tenon joint>dowel joint. 2. The withdrawal strength associated with the case which the rubberwood rail was replaced with MDF (rubberwood-MDF ,WM) indicated that the strength ratios were , respectively, 86.9%, 65.1% and 63.0% for dowel joint, square-end mortise and tenon joint; and oval-end mortise and tenon joint. The strength ratios for maximum bending moment were 84.7%, 82.0% and 86.6% 3. The withdrawal strength in MDF-MDF (MM) indicated that the strength ratios were, respectively, 57.5%, 46.8% and 45.3% for dowel joint square-end mortise and tenon joint, and oval-end mortise and tenon joints compared with rubberwood-rubberwood(WW). The strength ratios for maximun bending moment were 57.7%, 37.8% and 50.0%. 4. The withdrawal strength and maximum bending moment of MDF-MDF in oval-end mortise and tenon joint were positively correlated with tenon length (L), tenon thickness (T)and tenon width (W). Increased tenon length(L) showed better improvement of both withrawal strength and maximum bending moment wheh compared with tenon thickness and tenon width. 5. Oval-end mortise and tenon joint showed higher values of joint rigidity compared with other joint methods. Among the tenon length (L), tenon thickness(T) and tenon width(W), increased tenon width showed better improvement in joint rigidity.
