摘要


本實驗在觀察每日食用蘋果對免疫系統之影響。十七位志願者連續二十八日每日食用一個蘋果。在食用前後各採1ml的血液,利用螢光標幟之單株抗體及流式細胞計數器(Flow cytometer)來分析其周邊血液淋巴球亞群之變化情形。結果發現食用蘋果後,Total T cells, Helper/Inducer T cells等淋巴球亞群之分布百分比明顯上昇(p<0.05);而Suppressor/Cytotoxic T cells, Activated T cells及Natural Killer cells等淋巴球亞群之分布百分比明顯下降(p<0.05)。然而由於蘋果中除了Lectin外還含有其他多種成分,在本實驗所見到對免疫系統之影響幷非一定是蘋果Lectin的作用,必須用純粹的蘋果Lectin視其影響才能下結論。因此由本實驗只知道每日食用一粒蘋果,的確可以調節細胞性免疫作用。

The effects of eating an apple a day on immune system were investigated. Seventeen volunteers took an apple a day for 28 days. One mL of peripheral blood was taken before and after the feeding of apple for the analysis of sub-groups of the lymphocytes with monoclonal antibodies and flow cytometer method. The results indicated that continuous intake an apple a day caused the significant increases of the percentage of Total T cells, Helper/Inducer T cells. Activated T cells, Suppressor/Cytotoxic T cells and Natural Killer cells decreased markedly. Although intake of an apple a day have influence to the immune system but whether the effect is due to lectin in apples is not clear, because an apple contains quite a variety of components other than lectin. It is necessary to isolate lectin of apple for the further study in order to show the change of pattern of subgroups of T cells is due to the apple lectin. It can be concluded from this study that eating an apple everyday modulates the cellular immune system.
