無字繪本設計意象之研究－以國際無字繪本大獎為例

本研究為探討國際無字繪本大獎之設計意象，希望藉由歷屆的得獎作品以學理方式找出其設計意象，歸納出好的無字繪本內頁設計應具備哪些設計特徵，可作為相關領域設計者及後續研究者之參考。本研究樣本以國際無字繪本大獎2014至2022年共計50張之入圍及得獎繪本插畫，由6位研究小組成員於2023年3月8日下午3:40至晚上9:30，在輔仁大學藝術學院AA310會議室實施KJ法研究操作，作為繪本設計意象整理出細項表及親和圖進行分析，再以文章化之方式歸納整理整個研究的操作過程。得出5大項、18小項的研究結果。經本研究歸納統整，研究結果發現，樣本內容中的「美學應用」其「設計風格」藉由不同的構圖形式和多樣的「媒材」選用來傳遞故事內容，產生新穎的視覺效果，以強化讀者對故事內容的感受；其次，在「色彩心理」與「彩度」方面，創作者採用鮮明活潑的故事色彩，並以擬人或寫實的表現形式作為主要的設計型態，在畫面呈現上達到畫中有話的效果，通過直觀化的傳達將複雜或抽象的概念具象化，使得無字繪本同時具備了敘事與視覺傳達之特色，更加貼近孩子。

This study aims to explore the design concepts of the International " Silent Book Contest ". By analyzing the award-winning works from previous years, we hope to identify the key design features that make a great silent picture book. This research can serve as a reference for designers and future researchers in this field. The sample for this study consists of 50 selected entries and winning illustrations from the International Silent Picture Book Award between 2014 and 2022. On March 8, 2023, from 3:40 PM to 9:30 PM, the research team, consisting of six members, conducted KJ method research operations in Room AA310 of the College of Fine Arts at Fu Jen Catholic University. We organized detailed tables and affinity diagrams to analyze the design concepts of the picture books. The entire research process was then summarized and documented in the form of an article. The study yielded five major categories and 18 subcategories of research results. Based on the findings of this study, it was observed that in the sample content, "aesthetic application" and "design style" were used to convey the story through various composition forms and diverse selection of media. This created innovative visual effects to enhance readers' emotional connection to the story. Additionally, in terms of "color psychology" and "saturation," the creators utilized vivid and lively colors, along with anthropomorphic or realistic expressions, as the primary design elements. This approach created a sense of storytelling within the illustrations, enabling the visualization of complex or abstract concepts. As a result, silent picture books possess both narrative and visual communication qualities, making them even more engaging for children.
