From the perfective of structuralism, thought of Military School, like that of Confucianism, constitutes the deep structure of Chinese culture. The notions of ”virtual or real” and ”hard or soft” represented in the Military School develop the majority of strategies in Chinese society. The Art of War was composed by Sun Tzu, a great general in Chinese history, in Zhou dynasty. This book constitutes 13 chapters and it is quite influential all over the world because of the author's acute observation and careful thinking. The Art of War not only is a military classic, but has long been applied to the fields of strategic management, politics and business. The present study aims to identify the strategic management implications presented in the Art of War and further explore its strategic management model. Six research propositions and six practical implications are also suggested for future study.
