Taiwan has a long history of using technology for instruction and has generally been divided into several chief periods, such as electrifying education, audiovisual education, media communication, instructional technology, and digital learning, each of which, to a certain degree, influenced by integrating technology into the classroom. The most important invention in the last century is the computer and specifically the popularization of personal computer developed a close relationship between computer use and computer-assisted instruction. More particularly, the laptop computer with an internet connection makes it difficult to evaluate influences on various fields of education, resulting in a combination of hardware and operating-system software design and a close relationship between instruction and information/internet technology. The instructional use of new information and internet technologies includes not only diverse teaching methods, but also stimulation of increased teacher/student interaction and new ways of learning. E-book, e-schoolbag, cloud education are getting mot attention and undoubtedly, reporting evolutional changes in teaching methods, teaching materials, and learning behaviors, which is a new challenge all educators, students, and parents will face. When these technological products have a strong influence on all aspects of daily life and education, we should not only maximize the potential benefits the technology provide for classroom instruction including teaching methods and resources, learning behaviors, and interactive learning content, but of course minimize the potential negative effects of technological change for individual mental health and psychological wellbeing.
