老年常見消化道問題與營養照護

隨著年齡增長，老年人易有牙口不佳、嗅味覺異常、唾液分泌減少、吞嚥困難、腸胃道蠕動變慢、便祕等消化道功能衰退的問題，進而減少攝食量並導致營養不良。營養照護上建議依牙口功能與吞嚥狀況來調整飲食質地、採取少量多餐方式、選擇風味較重之辛香料或食物來刺激食慾、攝取足夠膳食纖維與水分、規律運動，以降低營養不良及合併症的風險，並維持老年良好的生活品質。
