本研究目的在探討美容師工作環境與工作困擾之情形,研究方法為質性研究,透過文獻探討及深度訪談10位現職美容師,訪談過程中全程錄音,訪談內容於訪談後轉成逐字稿後再分析訪談內容。訪談結果顯示出美容師在光鮮亮麗的外表下,確實有著關於工時、薪資、工作壓力、管理、人際關係、家庭問題、自我成長、環境安全等各個不同因素所產生的困擾。具體研究結果如下: (一)工時問題的困擾 由於工時過長,對於美容師身、心造成許多負面的影響。身體會產生腰椎痠痛、下肢腫脹。對於心理而言,會有厭倦、怠惰、煩悶的行為產生;生活態度變得緩慢、焦慮、煩躁且易怒。 (二)薪資問題的困擾 大多數美容師認為底薪少、抽成也少的計薪方式是非常不合理。 (三)管理問題的困擾 扣款方式與休假排班不合理;在職訓練方式、客戶分配以及對待部屬的方式不公平。 (四)環境安全問題的困擾 逃生出口、通風設施、照明設備、消防設備是否能保持正常使用。 (五)壓力問題的困擾 美容師被要求承擔業績壓力的比例偏重,情緒急躁不安、感覺倦怠與害怕失業。 (六)人際關係的困擾 與同事爭奪顧客與業績競爭的困擾,以及接待顧客時,無法立即掌握顧客情緒變化的困擾。 (七)家庭問題的困擾 美容師投入工作,無多餘的心力經營家庭生活,家庭生活缺少關懷、親子關係疏離。 (八)自我成長的困擾 部分美容師覺得社會地位不高,認為提高學歷,專業素養會提升,談吐也會隨之改變,能夠彰顯專業的能力,進而影響社會評價。
This study aimed at researching into the environments of the beautician line and trying to find out how is the situation in which the beauticians suffered from their work troubles. The method used in this investigation is the qualitative research method. I have done the related literature reviews and conducted in-depth interviews with 10 beauticians, tape-recording the whole interviews and then converting all the vocal data word-for-word into written transcripts. The results of the content analysis of the recorded transcripts of interviews show that under their bright, luster and pretty apprearance, the beauticians really suffered from a lot of bother arisen from their work hours, pay, job pressure, business management, interpersonal relationships, family problems, self-development, environmental security and many other issues. The specific results are as follows: (1)Problems of Long Work Hours: Long work hours have negative effects to the metal and physical health of beauticians. Physically, waist pains and swollen lower limbs are common problems, and psychologically the overworked cosmeticians may experience weariness, inactiveness, and depression, causing them to act in slow motion and become anxious, irritable, and ill tempered. (2)Problems of Wages: Most beauticians think their wages are unreasonably calculated; they think their base salaries are too low and the commission rates are also too low. (3)Problems in Management: The pay-deduction and rotating leave systems are deemed unreasonable. The on-job training, customer allocation, and the way subordinates are treated are also deemed unreasonable. (4)Problems in Environmental Safety: Whether the emergency escape, ventilation facilities, lighting facilities, and fire hydrants are maintained in normal functioning? (5)Problems of Stress: The beauticians are required to take the responsibility for a high percentage of the sales goals, and such stress causes irritation, weariness, and fear for losing the jobs. (6)Problems in Interpersonal Relationships: Beauticians often fight over customers with one another while having to deal with the unknown tempers/moods that can be brought in by the customers at anytime. (7)Problems in the Family: Beauticians are highly devoted workers, so they scarcely have time for their families. In result, a distance often emerges in the relationships with their family members. (8)Problems in Self-growth: Part of the beauticians think they have relatively low status in the society, so some of the them think further education will enhance their professional skills, as well as change their demeanors, and they believe such changes will enable them to better exhibit their professional skills and enhance the society’s view on this profession.
