在碟形天線系統的設計上,一個關鍵的工作就是針對此類天線系統進行分析與合成的工作,因為它直接影響天線的功能與表現,進而影響通信的質,而這樣的工作除了由軟體模擬外,並無其它方法可以取代。新一代碟形天線系統的應用中,利用單一碟形反射面的變形,或是利用相位陣列饋源,來產生等高位波束或是形成多波束,是一個相當引人注意的應用,主要是因為其低成本的特性。利用碟形天線系統來產生等高位波束和多波束,尤其針對單一碟形天線系統而言,有三種方式可以達成目的。第一種方式為利用陣列饋源,經由調整激發權值來達成,其二為利用碟形表面的變形來改變散射機制來達成,其三為結合上述二種方式來達成目的。在這一類天線的設計上,利用軟體進行數值模擬,為一個重要且必經的程序,其絕對影響天線實用之功能表現。本篇論文的目的,即是在發展一套針對碟形天線系統進行分析與合成的軟體,以加強碟形天線系統的研發能量與技術發展。
Reflector antennas have been very attractive in the applications of wireless communication including satellite communication and point-to-point communications. One of the most important steps in the design procedure of reflector antennas is an effective simulation of analysis and synthesis since try-and-error type design procedure in term of measurement is not realistic in this case. A well-designed computational code becomes necessary in order to provide as a simulation tool. Numerical codes for reflector antennas have been developed by many organizations. However, most available codes in the market are either for analysis only without synthesis function or restricted for export by their government. As a result, most local manufacturers have to request oversea organization to design their antennas. This has limited the development of local industry. This thesis intends to develop a software simulation tool for local industry. The developed software is capable of both analysis and synthesis, and becomes very useful to assist industry in the design of reflector antennas. Nevertheless, the synthesis function is capable of feed array synthesis and shaped reflector surface synthesis, which are most interested in the reflector antennas. Typical applications include multiple beams synthesis and contoured beam synthesis both in term of array synthesis and surface synthesis. The developed code is expected to become a major numerical tool for local industry.
