中文摘要 本篇論文提出應用於符合80PLUS Platinum規範之節能的交/直流電源備援模組。此電源模組的總輸出為1100 瓦。其中使用了全橋相移式轉換器來提供主電源。當電源模組在待機狀態時,使用返馳式轉換器來提供待機電源。以及使用平均電流連續導通模式的主動式功率因數修正電路來降低電源模組的總諧波失真率及提高功率因素。 其次, 本論文提出了兩種新的控制方式可以提高系統的效率。 其ㄧ: 我們增加一控制線路讓電源開機後由高效率的主電源來取代待機電源的輸出, 提高整體電源供應器效率。並且在修改一部分零件的條件下, 初步計算效率可由金牌提升到白金等級。 其二:增加一控制方式讓系統依照負載情況調整電源供應器的開關機, 讓系統負載在輕載條件下集中於一台電源供應器上可以實現。最後我們實際製作一 1100瓦電源供應器並驗證效率及功能完全達到要求。 本文主要貢獻如下: (1) 在不改變主要線路架構的情況下改善效率, 讓產品有良好的穩定度。 (2) 不提高太多成本的情況下輕易的讓原本符合80Plus 金牌提高到白金等級。 (3) 發明了一種新的系統低耗能電源開機模式.此開機模式兼顧備援系統的穩定性讓系統可以輕易的最佳化系統效率。 我相信本篇論文的研究結果,將對伺服器電源能源使用最佳化之設計與分析在未來的研究領域會有相當大的助益。
Abstract In this thesis, we will implement an energy-saving at light load condition of AC-DC power module for an 80Plus platinum efficiency requirement. The total output power of the power module is 1100 W under full load operation. A phase shift full bridge converter is adopted to provide 12 Volts for main power. When the power supply operates under standby mode, a Fly-back converter is used to provide standby power. To eliminate current harmonics and to achieve high power factor, an active power factor corrector (PFC) is added to the implemented power module. Secondly, we provide two extra new methods to improve system’s efficiency. Method 1-- We build in a new control circuit in power supply internal, this circuit will control 12 Volts main power output to replace 12 Volts standby power output during power supply operate in turn on condition. The calculation result shows the power supply efficiency would be improved. In method 2-- We create a new method in system to control power supply on /off depend on system’s loading. This new method can save energy as well. Finally, a high efficiency of 1100w redundant power supply is implemented. Experimental results can validate the theoretical analysis to show the feasibility and correctness of the thesis. The contributions of our research are as follows: (1) Easily to improve power supply efficiency without change main circuit topologies. (2) Without to increase PSU’s materials costs too much for power efficiency improvement. (3) To invent a new operation mode in system control. The system control method not only has lower power losses in system’s light load condition but also can keep original redundancy function. Finally, we believed that the results of our study in this thesis will be much helpful to future research in the areas of the efficiency improvement in server system’s applications.
