鉛酸電池產品已有百年歷史,屬高度成熟市場,很難靠單一新技術發明就能改變整體市場,其主要應用在汽機車、不斷電系統、電動車、醫療器材、通訊設備的蓄電功能。在西元1990年才成立的廣隆光電,成立時,台灣與全球的鉛酸電池市場已被湯淺、統力電池(GS)、神戶電池(CSB)等大廠所占有,其中,湯淺不僅是台灣第一、還擁有全球最大的三○%以上的汽車用鉛酸電池占有率,當時的廣隆則只是一家員工數不到三十人、營收不到億元的小工廠。 於西元1996年,廣隆光電放棄到大陸投資設廠的念頭,轉而向較冷門的越南進行投資,是當時唯一一家外資投資的鉛酸電池公司。經過了十多年來的努力,目前的廣隆已是全越南最大的鉛酸蓄電池公司,擁有三個生產據點,總員工人數達2000人,在越南有五分之一的汽機車市場佔有率,且全球最大不斷電系統廠商APC(American Power Conversion)也由為廣隆的順利供貨,才能將大量的不斷電系統產品出貨到全球。 本研究以參與廣隆光電在越南一、二期廠建廠經驗與推動經營管理制度為基礎,探討鉛酸蓄電池工廠選擇越南投資進行國際化,與建立海外工廠管理模式成功經驗與關鍵因素,以提供未來有計劃至越南投資者的參考。
The lead acid battery products had a long developed history. It belongs to a high grow up market. It is very difficult to change the whole lead acid battery markets by only a single technology created. The main applications of lead acid battery are in car and motorcycle area, UPS area, electric vehicles area, medical equipments area, and communication area. The Kung Long company was established in 1990, at that time the whole lead acid battery market was be occupied by YUASA battery company, GS battery company, and CSB battery company. In these three big lead acid battery companies, the YUASA company is not only the biggest company in Taiwan but also owns about 30% market shares of car battery market in all over the world. At that time the Kung Long was only a small company which had 30 workers, and the year revenues were just about 100 millions NT dollars. In 1996s, the Kung Long company gave up to invested in Mainland China, and invested in Vietnam which is not a popular demand invested area at that time. The Kung Long company was the first foreign lead acid battery company invested in Vietnam. After 10 years efforts, nowadays the Kung Long company are the biggest lead acid battery company in Vietnam which owns three factories, and has about 2,000 employees. Kung Long owns 20% market shares in Vietnam’s domestic market, and the biggest UPS company “APC” need Kung Long company’s help to sell their UPS products to all over the world. In this study we practical join the two factories operation in Kung Long in Vietnam. Using this experience of Kung Long to research the key factors and the successful factors of a lead acid company choosing Vietnam invested to internationalization and the overseas factory management mode.
