國小英語輔助教學平台的應用與探討

摘要


在新的世紀裡,地球村的概念已是世界之趨勢,為因應國際化挑戰,提升全民英語能力已成為我國的目標之一。未來具有國際觀及國際溝通能力將是國民必備的能力,而會讀、說、聽、寫英語才能立足於未來的社會。 教育部在民國八十七年公佈了「國民教育階段九年一貫課程實施綱要」,已將英語列入國小正式課程,並自民國九十年由國小五年級開始實施。自九十四學年度起,教育部更宣布國小英語教學,從國小三年級開始授課。但在授課節數不足及課後學習方式的不同,造成了學生間的成就落差大。 本研究以國小五年級的學生為對象,建置一『國小英文課後輔助學習環境』系統平台,整合科目學習教材、學習單、線上測驗、作業繳交、多元討論…等功能,並記錄學生學習狀況提供老師參考。另外更加入家長的角色,邀請家長共同參與,建構一個多元的英文學習環境,以Web 視覺化的人機介面呈現在client 端的瀏覽器上,讓孩子可以課後學習、加強復習及繳交作業,也讓教師或家長可利用瀏覽器直接連接到伺服器上的資料表單來了解學童學習的狀況。希望藉由此系統,建立親、師、學三方的互動管道,進而親師相互成長以造就親、師、學三贏的局面。 另外,為了解學生對於此學習平台使用的意願、態度、學習平台的有用性和易用性。所以本研究將以科技接受模式(Technology Acceptance Model,TAM)來探討「英語學習平台的課程設計」和「與他人的數位學習互動」對科技接受模式的影響程度,以了解學生對於數位英文學習平台的使用情形,進而提昇課程學習效果。 本研究對象為南投某國小五年級的學生。該校所使用的教材是佳音英文教材,在TAM模組中加入英語學習平台的課程設計的研究構面,利用問卷調查法來收集資料,研究工具用SPSS統計程式進行問卷資料的統計分析、信度分析、因素分析來驗證學生對使用英語學習平台行為的動機。本次所做問卷共400份,有效問卷為385份,研究結果顯示,各項研究假說(hypothesis)的關聯性皆達顯著水準,其所代表著意義為學生大部份都能利用英語學習平台,來提高學習動機進而輔助在其課程上所學習的不足,並透過數位學習平台有重復的返復練習之優點,來完成最大的學習目標。

In the new era, earth village has become a global trend; to cope with globalization challenge, the enhancement of English proficiency of all the nationals has become one of the goals of this country. In Taiwan, both county and city governments have taken the enhancement of student’s English education as the major guideline of the county and city. In 1998, the Ministry of Education has announced ”The implementation guidelines for the nine-year-through curriculum in the education for the national”, which includes English in the formal curriculum of the elementary school; meanwhile, the implemented was started in 2001 from the fifth grade in the elementary school. Moreover, since 2005, the Ministry of Education has announced the English teaching in elementary school, and teaching will be starting from the third grade in the elementary school. However, due to the insufficient teaching hours and differences in after-class learning, the achievement gap is pretty large among students. This study takes the fifth grade students in the elementary school as the targets and follows the education model to build a “Assisted learning environment for English in the elementary school” system platform to integrate topic learning material, learning list, online test, homework turning, diversified discussion, etc. and to record student’s learning status for the teacher’s reference. In addition, the parent’s role is added and parent is invited to participate in so as to build a diversified English learning environment; meanwhile, web vision-oriented human-machine interface is used to display on the browser at the client end so that student can still learn after the class, student can read repeatedly and turn in the homework with assistance from the system; moreover, teacher or parent can use the browser to be connected to the data list in the server so as to understand student’s learning status. It is hoped that through this system, an interaction channel among parent, teacher and student can be set up, and a mutual growth between parent and teacher can be achieved, eventually, the final goal is to reach a triple-win situation among parent, teacher and student. In addition, based upon Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this study will survey users’ responses to and attitudes towards e-platform, and will evaluate the utility and accessibility of the platform. Furthermore, this study will also discuss how the TAM will be affected by the course design of English learning e-platform and interactive learning. The subject group is the fifth grade students in one of Nantou’s elementary school. And the leaning material is JOY ENGLIGH series. In this study, the TAM will be integrated into the syllabus and data will be collected via questionnaire. Regarding to the research method, we will use SPSS to analyze data, consisting of statistics analysis, validity analysis, and factor analysis. Through the statistical analysis, students’ motivation of using platform for learning English will be observed and described. Among 400 questionnaire, 385 valid copies are received. The statistical result shows that each hypothesis reaches the level of significance. In other words, most of students utilize the platform to foster, facilitate, or assist English learning.
