打擊樂器被廣泛地應用於音樂表演中。有調的打擊樂器可以產生特定的音階,可用來演奏一首歌曲。本文目的是在設計一套不同長度的塑膠管,以滿足各音階的標準頻率所產生出來的敲擊聲,對塑膠管進行設計並組裝成一組可以演奏的打擊樂器,並建立開發塑膠管打擊樂器(PPPI)的設計過程。首先,經由實驗模態分析(EMA)和有限元分析(FEA)來得到塑膠管的材料機械性質,也對塑膠管敲擊的聲音進行校準,以理解聲音和振動特性。設計的目標是,獲得PPPI兩個完整的八度音階的樂音從F4到E6。對不同的標準管進行分析,來決定合適的塑膠管直徑和厚度,根據各個音階的標準頻率,進行最終的分析和製造出不同長度的塑膠管,並對每根塑膠管的敲擊聲所激發出來的基本頻率進行校準,以滿足標準頻率。琴架的結構和塑膠管的組裝方法是根據整套PPPI的結構而設計的,本文所提出的設計方法和製造過程,可用於參考製作新型PPPI。
Percussion Instruments are widely adopted for musical performance. The tuned percussion instruments can produce specific musical notes to play a song. This work aims to design a set of plastic pipes with different lengths to generate percussion sound meeting the musical note's frequency. The plastic pipes are designed and assembled as a set of percussion instrument ready to play. The design procedure is planned to develop the plastic pipe percussion instrument (PPPI). First, mechanical properties of the plastic pipe are determined by experimental modal analysis (EMA) and finite element analysis (FEA). The pipe percussion sound is also calibrated to understand the sound and vibration characteristics. The design objective is to obtain the PPPI with two complete octave musical notes from F4 to E6. Different standard pipes are then analyzed to decide the suitable pipe diameter and thickness. According to the musical note's standard frequencies, different length of pipe is finally analyzed and manufactured. The fundamental frequency of the percussion sound of each pipe is calibrated to meet the standard frequency. The frame structure and the assembly method of pipes are designed accordingly to construct the whole set of PPPI. This work presents the design method and manufacturing considerations for the new type of PPPI.
