Study on Chemical Nutrients and Photosynthetic Pigments in the Kuroshio Current around Taiwan Island

臺灣黑潮流域化學營養素與光合作用色素之研究

摘要


本實驗主要研究臺灣附近海域化學營養素與光合作用色素之含量,以期了解臺灣附近海洋資源的分佈。實驗結果發現臺灣附近海域亞硝酸鹽含量在0.00至0.45μg-at/l.之間,大部分在0.15±0.05μg-at/l.;硝酸鹽含量為0.2至7.5μg-at/l.之間,大部分在1.0±0.5μg-at/l.;磷酸鹽含量在0.4至12.0μg-at/l.之間;矽酸鹽在1.3至13.5μg-at/l.之間。葉綠素甲含量在0.03至0.98mg/m^3。東部黑潮區域葉綠素含量為20mg/m^2;西部海域葉綠素含量變化較大為5至35mg/m^2。葉綠素含量最高的地區為基隆港東北部海面,高達60mg/m^2,很可能是由於基隆港及八斗子水肥垃圾汙染產生大量硝酸鹽及磷酸鹽,增加了附近海水的肥沃度。葉綠素含量最低的地區在臺灣的西北角,僅4mg/m^2,可能時由於動物性浮游生物大量噬食的結果。葉綠素極大值存在的深度隨地區而異,一般在50至100公尺之間。及有效光區底部的上方。Phaeophytin含量為0.0至0.3mg/m^3,在表面海水中以第2, 3站(臺灣西北角)含量最高,主要由於浮游植物死亡後葉綠素分解所產生,其含量一般隨深度而增加。

Chemical nutrients and photosynthetic pigments have been investigated in the Kuroshio current around Taiwan island. Salinity ranged from 33.0 to 35.8% and pH values from 7.55 to 8.19. Nitrite, nitrate, and reactive phosphate were 0.00 to 0.45 (with an average of 0.15 ± 0.05 μg-atom/I), 0.20 to 7.50 (1.00 ± 0.50 μg-atom/I), and 0.20 to 12.0 μg-atom/l, respectively. In the euphotic zone, pH values, dissolved oxygen contents, chemical nutrients, and photosynthetic pigments in the north were generally much higher than those in the south. Chlorophyll a of 0.03 to 0.98 μg/l and phaephytin a of 0.00 to 0.30 μg/l were determined by fluorometry. The maximum chlorophyll was found at the depths between 50 to 100 meters. The high value of 0.30 μg/l of phaephytin a was obtained at the station 3, near to the Tanshui estuary, which contained a high population of Copepoda.
