高雄地區嬰幼兒身高、體重、頭圍及胸圍之測量研究

Studies on Body Height, Weight, Head Girth and Chest Girth on Normal Healthy Children in Kaohsiung City

摘要

著者等於民國66年至67年，兩年間在本院小兒科健康門診及二所幼稚園，測量6,954名健康乳幼兒之身高、體重、頭圍及胸圍，結果如下：
出生時之身高，男嬰為50.06±3.14cm，女嬰為49.52±2.42cm，1歲時身高為出生時之約1.5倍，4歲時身高為出生時之約2倍。
男嬰之出生時體重為3.32 ±0.51kg，女嬰為3.22±0.40kg，4個月時體重為出生時之約2倍，1歲時約3倍，5歲時約5倍。
頭圍在出生時，男嬰為33.92±1.52cm，女嬰為33.47±1.44cm；胸圍在出生時，男嬰為33.02±1.90 cm，女嬰為32.85±1.42 cm；出生時頭圍比胸圍大，頭圍比胸圍增加慢，男性在6~12個月，女性在2~12個月時，頭圍與胸圍幾乎相等，1歲後，胸圍比頭圍大。
身高、體重，頭圍及胸圍之平均值，在同年齡組，男性比女性大。

The authors studied the body height, weight, head girth and chest girth of 6,954 normal healthy children in the Kaohsiung city from January 1977 to December 1978. The results are summarized as follow:
The mean body height at birth of males was 50.06±3.14cm and that of females was 49.52±2.42 cm. The younger the age, the greater was the rate of increase in height. By the age of 1 year the body height grew half of the birth length, and by 5 years of age the height was doubled.
The mean birth weight of males was 3.32±0.51 kg, and that of females was 3.22±0.40 kg. The younger the age, the greater was the rate of weight gain. The time of body weight doubling the birth weight was between 3 and 4 months of age; that of tripling was at the age of 12 months and 5 times at the age of 5 years.
The mean circumferences of the head and chest at birth were 33.92±1.52 cm, 33.02±1.90 cm for males and 33.47±1.44 cm, 32.88±1.42 cm for females, respectively. The growth of the head girth was slower than the growth of the chest girth. The head girth was somewhat larger than the chest girth at birth, and then were approximately equal by age 1 year, but the former became smaller thereafter.
