Nomenclatural Notes on Fossil Liotiid Taxa and Description of Cyclostrema filipino n. sp. from the Philippines (MOLLUSCA: GASTROPODA, LIOTIIDAE)

Taxonomic revision in this article for tiny and small fossil liotiid taxa is based on historical management and shell characters in a conservative way and should not be considered final. MCLEANIELLINAE † including Mcleaniella † and Pseudoliatina † is ranked to a family level beneath ARCHITECTONICOIDEA. BROCHIDIINAE † is relocated back in CRASPEDOSTOMATIDAE †. DICHOSTASIINAE † is a synonym of LIOTIINAE in LIOTIIDAE. Costatomphalus †, Pareuchelus † and Klebyella † are relocated to SKENEIDAE. Pseudoliotina parva † is in an indeterminate genus of SKENEIDAE. Rotaliotina n. gen. with type species Delphinula discoidea are described. Seven Cyclostrema are listed and the eighth Cyclostrema filipino n. sp. is described from the Philippines.
