摘要

台灣的休閒農業是一種新的農業發展方案。此種發展方案先經個別農家零星發起，再由政府於近年內作較有計劃的推動。休閒農業所以能成為一種新的發展及保護農業土地資源的新方法，部份是因為傳統的生產性農耕制度變為更加困難，部分因為當地居民增加對休閒的需求。本論文的主要目的在呈示台灣實施這種新農業發展策略的經驗。較明細的研究內容包括闡明（1）此種新方案的背景，（2）此種方案的實施過程及推廣教育策略，（3）此種方案在開發及保護土地資源上的社會經濟及區位性涵義，（4）對國際團體的建議。本研究所用資料係經作者自1989年後參與此種計劃的推動委員會過程中搜集得來。

The leisure farming is a new agricultural development program in Taiwan This program was initiated fragmentarilly by individual farming households, then promoted under a well guidance by the government in the most recent years. It becomes a new way for developing and protecting the major agricultural land resource due partly to the increasing difficulties of the traditional production farming system and partly to the increasing demands on leisure by local residents.The main objective of the paper is to pre sent the experience of the implementation of this new agricultural development strategy. Specific contents of the study include (1) The background of this new program, (2) The implementation process and extension education strategies of the program, (3) The socio-economic and ecological implications of the program on the development and the protection of land resource, (4) Recommendations for international groups.The study data has been collected through the author's participation in the program promotion committee since 1987.
