Reducing Herbicide Injury to Direct-Seeded Rice by Coating Seeds with Activated Carbon

活性碳拌稻種以減少殺草劑對直播水稻之為害

摘要


兩期直播稻作試驗結果,以活性碳拌催芽後稻種(臺南五號)時,稻苗受殺草劑之藥害顯較未處理者少。丁基拉草1.5與2.0公斤/公頃或殺滅丹3.9與5.2公斤/公頃(皆以有效成份表示,以下同)使用量下,經活性碳拌種者,稻苗之發育受藥害程度,顯較未拌種者減少,尤以直播前2天施用殺草劑者最明顯。第一期作在直播稻種後6、9或12天,第二期作在直播後4、7或10天開始灌水,對拌活性碳減少殺草劑引起之藥害的效果皆相同。減少殺草劑對直播水稻之為害及提高其雜草防治效果,直播前2天施用殺滅丹3.9公斤/公頃1次或施用2.6公斤/公頃,俟播後5天再施2.6公斤/公頃,即共2次,第一期作於播種9到12天始,第二期作為7到10天始灌水,其效果最好。若稻種再以活性碳拌種,更可減少殺草劑對稻苗之藥害。

Pregerminated seeds of rice (Oryza sativa L. var. ”Tainan 5”) coated with activated carbon sustained less injury to herbicides than those without coating during two crop seasons of direct seeding in paddy field. Seeds coated with activated carbon greatly reduced the injury of rice seedlings to butachlor (N-(butoxymethyl)-2-chloro-2', 6'-diethyl-acetanilide) applied at 1.5 kgai and 2 kg ai/ha and benthiocarb+CNP (s-4-chloro-benzyl) N, N-diethylthiolcarbamate) + 2, 4, 6-trichlorophenyI-4-nitrophenyl ether) applied at 3, 9 kgai/ha and 5.2 kgai/ha 2 days before seed sowing (DBS), and 0, +3, and +5 days after seed sowing (DAS) in the test fields. Flooding started on 4, 7, 10 DAS in the second rice crop, and on 6, 9, 12 DAS in the first rice crop did not affect the protection of seedlings from the herbicide injury coated with activated carbon. In order to reduce herbicide injury and to get the best control of weed on direct seeded rice, benthiocarb+CNP applied at 3.9 kgai/ha at 2 DBS or at 2.6 + 2.6 kgai/ha at 2 DBS and at 5 DAS, respectively, is advisable, while water flooding started at 7 to 10 DAS in the second rice crop and 9 to 12 DAS in the first crop.
