摘要
本試驗踩用石油樹脂－松香乳化型上膠劑，試圖突破往昔使用反應性上膠劑之缺失，揖供一個新的中性造紙系統，在這個系統中，用糊化立澱粉與碳酸鈣混合以改善紙張化水性；採用“減少至最小限度技術”之觀念，利用硫酸招來定著上膠劑；於豎形篩之前加入上膠劑，以減少因通過淨漿機所造成之損失；於靠近頭箱處添加陽離于性高分子保留助劑，以促進填料之保留。最後為這個系統設計了一個流程供業者參考。

In the neutral papermaking system, low cost ground calcium carbonate can be used in place of clay as afiller. A petroresin -rosin based emulsion type sizing agent' is used in this new neutral papermaking system• Calcium carbonate can be mixed with cooked unmoditied starch to prevent the ink .feathering of paper sheets. Papermaker's alum is used as the fixing agent of size. To prevent the unnecessary troubles, it is imperative to follow the concept of ＂minimizing techniques＂. To optimize sizing results, sizing agent should be added just before the vertical screen of paper machine. Retention of filler can be acheived by adding high moescular weight cationic retention aid close to the headbox.
