進口材為原料之粒片板研製

Using Imported Wood as Raw Materials for the Manufacture of Particleboards

摘要


本試驗就進口數量較多的樹種中,依比重大小選取Batu、Keruing、Kapur、Jelutong及Pulai等五種樹種為粒片原料,依表1之製板條件製造三層構造粒片板,以評估進口材單一樹種粒片及混合粒片製造粒片板之可行性。並比較熱板加熱、高週波加熱及高週波熱板併用加熱等三種不同加熱方式,對於板質之影響。且於三層構造粒片板粗、細粒片層之間夾入玻璃纖維織布,以探討板質改良之效果。結果如次:1.樹種比重(壓縮比)、粒片細長比等之不間,粒片板之性質差異很大,以進口材為原料製造粒片板,應對此等性質先作充分暸解。單一樹種粒片板,有較大壓縮比者,有較佳的MOR值。2.高週波與熱板併用加熱法,在本試驗之條件下,高週波預熱時間愈長者,各種板質愈差。3.玻璃纖維織布對粒片板質之強化,有非常良好之效果。

Three-layer particleboards were made at panel desntiy 0.7 g/cm^3 and resin level 8% (16% and 4% for surface and core particles respectively) by using imported logs from the Southeast Asia, namely, Batu, Kapur, Kerning, Jelutong, and Pulai. The purpose of this study was threefold. The first one of which was to evaluate the feasibility of these tropical species as raw materials for particleboards manufacture. In this part of the study, boards were made of individual species and mixed particles glued with UF resin adhesive. The second one was attempted to compare the properties of boards heated with hot plate, high-frequency or both. And the third one was tried to estimate the efficiency of strength improvement of fiberglass cloth reinforced particleboards. In the latter two studies, boards were made of mixed particles and with PF resin adhesive. The results were summarized below: 1) Boards that were made of individual species particles had a higher compression ratio (board density/species density) and accordingly a higher value of MOR. 2) All the properties of boards pressed first by high-frequency preheating and later by hot plate heating would be decreased with the length of time in preheating. 3) All the properties of boards reinforced by embedding fiberglass cloth sheet among them showed considerable improvement. The strength properties increased was proportional to the sheet number of fiberglass cloth, while the percentage of thickness swelling and water absorption were decreased with the sheet number of fiberglass cloth.
