Japanese fir and Ramin woods were impregnated with MMA Monomer and PF Resin separately under the conditions of four cycles of Vacuum-pressure-soaking methods. After the impregnation, the fraction of void filled was calculated and the photograph of the impregnated wood was taken by means of the application of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to observe the wood structure which would affect the permeability and the places of the distribution of polymer. According to the experiment there was no significant difference between two-hour treatment and four-hour treatment, also MMA monomer was easier to penetrate into wood than PF Resin.
