酚液化相思樹-甲醛製備Novolak型酚樹脂之反應特性及其所製造成型板之性質

Reactive Behavior of Novolak Type PF Resins Prepared from Phenol Liquefied Acacia Confusa-Formaldehyde and Properties of Moldings Made With Prepared Resins

摘要


本研究以酚為溶劑,H2SO4及HCl為催化劑對相思樹木材進行液化處理,將所得液化相思樹與福馬林在甲醛/自由酚之莫耳比0.8/1之條件合成Novolak型酚樹脂,進一步將Novolak型酚樹脂與填料木粉、四氮六甲基圜、硬脂酸鋅混合後熱壓製造成型板。由試驗結果得知,酚液化相思樹經加入福馬林混合後將發生放熱反應,並形成團塊狀Novolak樹脂,經乾燥脫水後之膠粉具備熱熔融特性,其中液化時以H2SO4及HCl為催化劑之液化相思樹所製備之SF及CF樹脂膠粉之熔點分別為134℃及124℃;DSC分析顯示兩種酚樹脂與木粉、四氮六甲基圜、硬脂酸鋅混合所形成之成型原料在加熱過程具備熱硬化性,其中CF 樹脂之熱硬化反應性優於SF樹脂;將樹脂膠粉與木粉、硬化劑、硬脂酸鋅以重量比60:30:10:1混合,並經200℃熱壓10 min所得成型板材具有良好尺寸安定性及內聚強度,其中採用CF樹脂為原料者有較低浸水時吸水率及厚度膨脹率,較高之板材內聚強度及耐熱性。

The wood of Acacia confusa was liquefied in phenol with H2SO4 and HCl as catalysts. The liquefied woods were reacted with formalin under the mole ratio of formaldehyde to free phenol at 0.8/1 to prepare novolak type PF resins. The PF resins prepared were mixed with wood powder, hexamine and zinc stearate, then hot-pressed to manufacture moldings. The result showed that an exothermic reaction would occur as mixing the liquefied wood with formalin, and would form a block-like resin. After drying, the glue powders demonstrated hot-melting behavior. Two kinds of novolak resin, SF and CF, those prepared from Acacia confusa wood that liquefied with H2SO4 and HCl as a catalyst had the melting point of 134℃ and 124℃, respectively. The DSC thermo-analysis showed that mixed the novolak resin with wood powder, hexamine and zinc stearate had the thermo-setting characteristic. Comparison between SF and CF, the latter had better thermo-setting reactivity than the former. The moldings made by mixing the novolak resin with the wood powder, hexamine, and zinc stearate with the weight ratio of 60:30:10:1, and hot-pressed under 200℃ for 10 min had a good dimensional stability and internal bonding strength. Wherein, using CF resin as the raw materials had a lower water absorption rate and thickness swelling, a higher internal bonding strength and heat resistance.
