榫頭尺寸對橢圓榫接合強度之影響

Effects of Joint Geometry Parameters on the Strength of Round-end Mortise-and-Tenon Joint

摘要


本研究係針對榫頭長度、寬度及厚度(榫厚比)等三種影響因素之變化,探討其對橢圓榫接合強度之影響,以尋求最適當的接合設計。結果摘述如下:1.橢圓榫接合之引拔強度與榫頭長度成正相關,而受榫頭寬度及厚度之影響較不明顯,但是榫厚比最好能設定於2/3-4/9。另外,破壞撓矩、接合效事與榫頭長度及寬度亦皆成正相關,而厚度則沒有顯著的影響。2.接合剛性受榫頭寬度的影響最大,而厚度之影響最小。3.榫肩對接合強度亦有重要的影響。4.根據試驗結果顯示,橢圓榫接合的最適合榫頭尺寸分別為:引拔強度方面一長度約為支柱寬度之79%、寬度約為橫檔寬度之79%、榫厚比則為4/9。而破壞撓矩方面-長度亦約為支柱寬度之79%,但若慮及材料成本及工時等因素,支柱寬度之約61%亦可視為理想的長度、寬度約為橫檔寬度之89.5%、榫厚比宜設定於2/3-4/9。

This research is to investigate the effects of three factors (tenon length, width and thickness (tenon thickness ratio) etc.) on the strength of round-end mortise-and-tenon joint, and to looking for the most suitable design of jointing. The results are summarized as follows: 1. It has a positive correlation between the withdrawal strength of round-end mortise-and-tenon joint and tenon length, and it is not so evident under the influence of tenon width and thickness, but tenon thickness ratio is better to be set up between 2/3~4/9. Besides, it also has a positive correlation among bending moment, jointing efficiency and tenon length and width, but thickness does not have the evident influence. 2. Jointing rigidity is highly influenced by tenon width, while the influnence of tenon thickness is the smallest. 3. The tenon shoulder also plays an important role on the joint strength. 4. According to the testing results, the optimum tenon dimensions of round-end mortise-and-tenon joint are as the followings: (1) For withdrawal strength-tenon length is about 79% of post width, tenon width is about 79% of rail width, and tenon thickness ratio is about 4/9. (2) For bending moment-tenon length is also about 79% of post width, but if consider about the cost of material and working time, about 61% of post width is also ideal length, and tenon width is about 89.5% of rail width, tenon thickness ratio is better to be set up between 2/3~4/9.
