竹家具創新設計策略初探－以兒童遊戲桌凳為例

摘要

回顧二十世紀，台灣住民生活竹器從極盛一時到銷聲匿跡，讓人不勝惋惜。竹家具發展至今其製作方法一直維持手工打製，絲毫未受到社會進步的腳步與科技技術的影響而進步蛻變，它可以說是老祖先傳承下來的手工藝品，未曾受到工業革命的洗禮，製作的風格與技巧還一直未有精進。為了創造竹家具產業的新未來，本研究藉由分析傳統竹桌椅的結構與加工特性，再以工業設計的角度探討分析並提出竹桌椅的創新設計策略，為竹家具產業開創新的契機與設計新風貌。本研究係以實物創作驗證的方式得到以下五點結論，提供給竹家具產業作為日後設計竹桌凳之參考。1. 部份竹材零件、加工方法、製作過程的標準化，讓竹家具也能配合部份機械製造，從以往純手工打製的工藝品蛻變為工業設計產品是可行的。2. 竹家具其穩固性及耐用性較一般硬木家具差，在不影響竹家具的整體造型前提下，部份結構搭配其他複合材料增強其穩固性及耐用性是可行的。3. 本研究係以量產外銷為設計考量，驗證竹家具可被大量製造，成為流行商品是有可能的。4. 自己DIY的設計手法導入竹家具設計，讓竹家具的風格更多元化，消費者的接受度會更高。5. 傳統竹家具都為一體成型體積龐大，運送成本高昂，可拆解式設計讓包裝扁平化，降低運送成本，增加市場競爭力。

During the 20ty century, the consumption of bamboo furniture in Taiwan has experienced peak period and than downward turn. Until now, most of the bamboo furniture is handmade in Taiwan. Also, we can't upgrade the making technology of bamboo furniture, so the future prospect of bamboo furniture seems pessimistic. In order to create new market for bamboo furniture in the future, our research is focused on the study of structure and manufacturing feature of traditional bamboo furniture from the viewpoint of industrial design. We also develop a new concept to design bamboo table and stool; we hope that this would promote new market for bamboo furniture. The experimental results are summarized as follows: 1. Standardization of the manufacturing process and mechanization of some components of bamboo furniture, these would transform bamboo furniture from handmade item to industrial design product. 2. The stability and durability of bamboo furniture are inferior to those of hardwood furniture; we can use some composite material for upgrading bamboo's stability and durability under the condition of not influencing the structure of product. 3. This study is focused on the mass production of bamboo furniture and mainly for export purpose. 4. The concept of DIY was incorporated into the design of bamboo furniture, to make it more stylish acceptable to the consumers. 5. The knock down type design coupled with flat package, which result in reduced shipping cost and increased market competition.
