木材-低密度聚乙烯塑膠複合材之耐候性探討

Weatherability of Wood-LDPE Plastic Composites

摘要


本研究係利用單螺桿擠出機(single screw extruder)將木材粒片與低密度聚乙烯(Low density polyethylene; LDPE)混鍊擠出後製成木材-LDPE塑膠複合材(wood particles-LDPE composites),並探討此塑膠複合材之耐候性及實際應用情況。當木材-LDPE塑膠複合材於戶外曝曬3個月後,其重量變化率介於0.56%~2.64%,厚度膨脹率之最大值也僅有2.7%。表面顏色變化會隨著木材粒片重量百分比的增加而增加。試驗資料經複迴歸分析後,顯示木材粒片之重量百分比及曝曬時間長短對於複合材之MOR值呈負相關,以t-test分析顯示,木材立面重量百分比對複合材之MOR影響較顯著,曝曬時間長短影響試材之MOR較不顯著。經實際戶外使用5個月之後,初步顯示此種複合材料具有良好之耐水性及尺寸安定性。

The main purpose of this study was to analyze the weatherability of wood-plastic composites. The material was made from recycled agro-forest waste and LDPE (low density polyethylene). These two components were mixed by single screw extruder first, then pressed by hot and cold press. The test result showed that these composites has a good water-proof ability. After exposed outdoor for five months, the dimensional change of the boards was limited. The surface color of the boards changed alone with increased amount of agro-forest wastes.
