叢枝菌根菌Glomus mosseae對白匏仔苗木生長及生理特性之效應

Effects of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Glomus mosseae on Growth and Physiological Characteristics of Mallotus paniculatus Seedlings

摘要


本研究旨在探討叢枝菌根菌對白匏仔(Mallotus paniculatus)苗木生長及生理特性之效應。以分離自雲林縣古坑鄉草嶺地區崩塌地內白匏仔根圈土壤之優勢叢枝菌根菌Glomusmosseae,經繁殖後,分別接種至栽植於不同介質之白匏仔苗木,7個月後觀察其對苗木生長及生理特性之影響。試驗結果顯示,白匏仔苗木在苗高淨生長量、根頸直徑淨生長量、葉綠素a+b濃度、木質部水勢、植物體脯胺酸濃度、蒸散作用及氣孔導度上,均以接種菌根菌及混合介質處理者為最佳。菌根構造之研究結果顯示,叢枝菌根菌Glomus mosseae可與白匏仔苗木根部形成良好之叢枝菌根,並且對苗木之生長、耐旱性及生理特性等均有顯著之增進作用。本研究證實接種叢枝菌根菌Glomus mosseae可增進白匏仔苗木之生長,在崩塌地復育之育林作業上具有應用價值。

The objective of this study was to examine the effects of mycorrhizal fungi on growth and physiological characteristics of Mallotus paniculatus (Turn-in-the wind) seedlings. Seedlings were inoculated with a dominant arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF), i.e., Glomus mosseae. This AMF was isolated from the rhizosphere of Mallotus paniculatus in Tsau-Ling landslide site at Gu-Keng, Yun-Lin county, and grown in various media. Seven months later, the effects of the AMF on growth and physiological characteristics of those seedlings were identified and analyzed. The results revealed that the following characterics of Mallotus paniculatus seedlings were the highest in inoculated ones grown in mixed media: the net height growth, net root collar diameter growth, chlorophyll a+b concentrations, xylem water potential, proline, transpiration and stomatal aperture. Examing mycorrhizal structures showed that Glomus mosseae wa able to form arbuscular mycorrhizas with roots of Mallotus paniculatus seedlings. Significant enhancements in seedling growth, drought tolerance and physiological characteristics of seedlings were observed. This study demonstrated that Glomus mosseae could enhance the growth of Mallotus paniculatus seedlings, and could be applied to the silvicultural practice for landslide site reclamation in Taiwan.
