叢枝菌根菌Glomus etunicatum對台灣赤楠苗木生長之效應

Effects of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungus Glomus Etunicatum on Growth of Syzygium Formosanum Seedlings

摘要


本研究旨在探討叢枝菌根菌接種對台灣赤楠苗木生長之效應。本研究以分離自墾丁高位珊瑚礁自然保留區內台灣赤楠根圈土壤之優勢叢枝菌根菌Glomus etunicatum,此菌種經繁殖後接種至台灣赤楠苗木,6個月後觀察其對苗木苗高生長、根頸直徑生長、生物量、葉面積、葉片數、葉綠素濃度及葉片水勢之影響。研究結果顯示,叢枝菌根菌G. etunicatum可與台灣赤楠苗木根部形成良好的叢枝菌根。接種組之苗木平均苗高淨生長量30.52±2.01cm、根頸直徑淨生長量2.77±0.25mm、總乾重3.22±0.44g、S/R率3.68±0.28、總葉面積305.49±22.40平方公分、葉片數103.20±4.92片、葉綠素濃度2.49±0.08mg/g、葉片水勢-1.39±0.14MPa,均較未接種組之平均苗高淨生長量12.82±0.73cm、根頸直徑淨生長量1.23±0.16mm、總乾重0.60±0.05g、S/R率2.85±0.23、總葉面積56.17±7.92平方公分、葉片數22.80±2.59片、葉綠素濃度0.94±0.14mg/g、葉片水勢-2.06±0.19MPa為高。台灣赤楠苗木對叢枝菌根菌G. etunicatum之菌根依賴度為437%。本研究證實叢枝菌根菌G. etunicatum可有效促進台灣赤楠苗木的生長。

The objective of this study was to examine the effects of mycorrhizal fungi on growth of Syzygium formosanum (Taiwan eugenia) seedlings. Taiwan eugenia seedlings were inoculated with a dominant arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus, i.e., Glomus etunicatum isolated from the rhizosphere soil of Taiwan eugenia stand at the uplifted coral reef at Kengting. Six months later, the effects of G. etunicatum on height growth, root collar diameter, total dry weight, leaf area and leaf number of seedlings were measured and analyzed. The results showed that G. etunicatum could form arbuscular mycorrhiza with roots of Taiwan eugenia seedlings. The inoculated seedlings with averaged net height growth of 30.52±2.01cm, net root collar diameter growth of 2.77±0.25mm, total dry weight of 3.22±0.44g, S/R ratio of 3.68±0.28, leaf area of 305.49±22.40cm^2, leaf number of 103.20±4.92 blades per seedling, chlorophyll concentrations 2.49±0.08mg/g, and leaf water potential -1.39±0.14MPa were significantly higher than the non-inoculated ones with averaged net height growth of 12.82±0.73cm, net root collar diameter growth of 1.23±0.16mm, total dry weight of 0.60±0.05g, S/R ratio of 2.85±0.23, leaf area of 56.17±7.92cm^2, leaf number of 22.80±2.59 blades per seedling, chlorophyll concentrations 0.94±0.14mg/g, and leaf water potential -2.06±0.19MPa. Mycorrhizal dependency of Taiwan eugenia seedlings on G. etunicatum was 437%. This study demonstrated that G. etunicatum played an important role in stimulating the growth of Taiwan eugenia.
