九節木葉子萃取物之抗氧化功效初探

A Preliminary Study on the Antioxidant Activity of Psychotria rubra Leaf Extract

摘要

本研究分析九節木葉子萃取物與各可溶部的抗氧化物質含量，並評估萃取物與各可溶部的抗氧化活性。分析結果顯示九節木萃取物與可溶部的抗氧化物質含量，以乙酸乙酯可溶部的總多酚類含量（411.01 mg of GAE/g）與總黃酮類含量（210.56 mg of QE/g）最高。抗氧化活性評估方面，DPPH自由基的清除活性分析，以萃取物與乙酸乙酯可溶部的效果較佳。在還原能力與總抗氧化活性評估，同樣以乙酸乙酯可溶部具有最好的活性。綜合研究結果顯示，九節木的葉子萃取物與乙酸乙酯可溶部具有良好的抗氧化能力，值得進一步的研究與利用。

This study investigated the contents of antioxidants and antioxidant activities of leaf extract and its soluble fractions of Psychotria rubra. Results revealed that ethyl acetate soluble fraction had the highest contents of the total phenolic content (411.01 mg of GAE/g) and the total flavonoid content (210.56 mg of QE/g), among the examined leaf extract and its soluble fractions. In DPPH radical scavenging assay, leaf extract and ethyl acetate soluble fraction showed better DPPH radical scavenging activity. Ethyl acetate soluble fraction also exhibited the best reducing power and trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity. Based on the results, P. rubra leaf extract and ethyl acetate soluble fraction possess the superior antioxidant activity, which is worthy of further research and utilization.
