泥砂來源及產量研究之趨向與挑戰

Trend and Challenges in Research on Sediment Sources and Yields

摘要


本文係就泥砂來源及產量研究的最近趨勢與未來的需要提出討論。因爲人類的活動範圍正在快速地向未開發的集水區擴張而使其水土平衡遭受到破壞,結果導致泥砂產量的劇增,並使原已嚴重的水汚染惡化。如欲在合理的情況下開發利用集水區的水土資源,吾人必須以分散系統的觀點對泥砂生產及輸送過程深入瞭解並研究其控制方法。文中先就現行的泥砂量推算方法加以檢討,並指出其缺點;進而討論分散系統中土壤冲蝕及運移的種種物理現象,並說明正在萌芽中的數學模式的觀念;最後指出一些筆者認爲應積極進行研究的主要項目。

This paper discusses recent trend and future needs in research on sediment sources and yields. Because man's activities are expanding rapidly into watersheds in which the equilibrium state of soil-water relationship is inevitably disturbed. As a result, sediment yields increase enormously and water pollution, which is already serious, becomes worse. If the soil and water resources are to be developed and used wisely, we must thoroughly understand from the viewpoint of dispersed system the processes of sediment production and transport, and then devise methods of sediment control. In the paper is presented first the methods of determining sediment yields currently in use and their shortcomings pointed out. Then follow discussions of physical phenomena of the soil erosion and transport processes, and of the concept of mathematical modeling that emerged recently. Finally listed are the major problem areas where, in the author's view, research should be carried out urgently.
