國立臺灣博物館六十至九十年代海報圖像之研究

An Iconographic Study on Artistic Poster of National Taiwan Museum from 60s to 90s

摘要


國立臺灣博物館百年來見證了臺灣歷史的發展,對臺灣自然生態的發展、藝文活動的推廣、地方文化的傳承,扮演著推廣教育的重要工作,而展覽海報則為博物館對外重要的宣傳者,將上述活動訊息傳達給民眾獲知,為資訊傳遞的重要媒介,實有必要加以歸整保存。本研究為質性研究,意圖通過對國立臺灣博物館六十至九十年代展覽海報的彙整與分析,探究博物館海報的圖像設計元素,進一步說明海報的設計手法與風格演變關係。海報研究樣本數量共計121件,參佐博物館研究組織架構將海報分類為:人文風俗、自然生態、教育活動、繪畫美展四大類,研究發現展覽海報適度反映了臺灣設計與人文的發展,展現出各類海報風格迴異的設計演變,其中以自然生態類海報為最多,其次為人文風俗類。整體而言,海報為展覽主題的縮影,內容構成除具訊息傳達的功用外,亦具設計師創意發想的強化效果,再再突顯了展覽海報的深度與價值,提供臺灣藝文海報發展與轉變的研究脈絡。

National Taiwan Museum has born witness to the development of Taiwan for a century. The museum plays an important role of education on cherishing the nature, encouraging the art activity and passing down the local culture. The museum's exhibition poster is an important advertising tool. People could learn more about the museum activities through the poster. Therefore, it is necessary to be collected and preserved. This paper applies a qualitative research to study the image element of the museum poster, which was designed from 60s to 90s. Further, this paper also explains the evolution of the poster design. The total research samples are 121 pieces. According to the museum's structure, they could be divided into four categories: folklore, natural ecology, education activity and art exhibition. This research discovered that the museum posters had reflected the development of Taiwan's poster design with kinds of different poster styles. Of all the categories, take the natural ecology poster as most, next the folklore. For the whole, the poster is an epitome of the exhibition, not only conveying the message but also recording the history of Taiwan. Finally, this paper suggested that the posters of National Taiwan Museum provide a research direction to discover how the style of Taiwan artistic posters was transformed.
