台灣南部閱讀障礙兒童盛行率之調查

A Survey on the Prevalence of Reading Disabled Childeren in Southern Taiwan

摘要


使用瑞文氏非語文智力測驗高級版(Raven's Advanced Progressive Matrices;簡稱APM)及「兒童閱讀之國際研究」編訂之「密西根閱讀測驗中文版」在臺南市東、南、北三區中未實施能力分班之國小4所,以學校集體(cluster)隨機抽樣方式,抽取9班五年級之學童共447名。其中除去APM得分20分以下(相當於魏氏智力測驗之智商85以下)之學生12名,中途轉學者10名後剩下425名學童(計男生209名、女生216名)中發現有閱讀障礙(reading disabilities)之男生10名(4.88%)、女生9名(4.26%),盛行卒為4.5%。9個班級中除一班外,其餘8班皆有頗平均分佈之閱讀障礙兒童出現。為此推論在臺南地區與臺北地區與日本、美國一樣均有閱讀障礙之兒童存在。

Four hundred and forty-seven 5th grade students in 9 classes were selected from 4 elementary schools in Tainan City with the cluster sampling method. They were screened to exclude APM (Raven's Advanced Progressive Matrices) scores under 20 and were administered the Chinese edition of the Michigan Reading Test, which was revised from the International Coopertive Study of Children Reading. Of the 425 students evaluated, 4.8% (10/209) of all boys and 4.2% (9/216) of all girls were found to have a reading disability. The prevalence rate was 4.5%.
