巨蚊屬(Toxorhynchites)在容器孳生蚊蟲防治上之利用

The Biocontrol of Container-Breeding Mosquitoes by Using Toxorhynchites

摘要


在容器中孳生的蚊子,除叮吸人血,且會傳樁多種疾病。藥劑防治孳生源幼蟲時,因家器分散,不易接近,使防治公需花費更多的人力財力。巨蚊(Toxorhynchites)可被利用於捕食斑蚊幼期的生物防治方法,本文對巨蚊的生物特性有所描述,並討論巨蚊及其被捕食斑蚊之間的相互作用;釋放巨蚊時必先大量飼育,以人工飼料或活體斑蚊幼體餵食皆可成功繁值巨蚊,唯其蟲體大小、活力及化蛹率有所不同,以活體餵食者較佳。文中列舉以巨蚊為生物防治之實例,然防除病蚊,以同時使用超低客量殺蟲劑和定期釋放巨坎雖炊較有成功的機會。

Container-breeding mosquitoes not only bite people but also transmit many human and animal diseases.The problem with chemical control of these mosquitoes 15 that the breeding sites are always well dispersed and not easily located , and more manenergy and money are required to treat themindi-vidually.Since the adverse effects of pesti-cides on vector control have been recognized , Toxorhynchites mosquitoes are being recon-sidered as a means of reducing the popula-tions of other mosquito species . The biono-mic interaction of predator and prey , mass rearing , and some examples of biological con-trol of Toxorhynchites are discussed in this article . Integrated controls combining periodic mass release of gravid Toxorhynchttes females and ULV pesticide applications can be used to suppress container-breeding mosquitoes .
