A Novel Tribological Test Method for Micro Journal Bearing System

一種新型的微細軸頸軸承磨潤性質測試方法

本研究中利用粉末冶金製程製作銅基與碳化鎢基微細頸軸承,並提出一種新式頸軸承磨潤性質評估方法。磨耗試驗中,先使用雷射光束在一具有五個自由度的平台上校正磨耗試片位置,以增加實驗數據之可靠度。接續再加載輕負荷及高轉速等參數,進行乾磨耗試驗。試驗過程中,以雷射系統截取試片摩擦係數,並比較各試片之耐磨耗能力。實驗結果顯示,碳化鎢基軸承具有較佳的耐磨耗性能;然而,銅基軸承搭配鍍氮化鈦軸的試驗具較低的摩擦係數。

This study proposes a new test rig and a new approach to evaluate the tribological properties of micro journal bearings. Cu-based and WC-based micro bearings were fabricated by powder metallurgy (P/M) to test their tribological properties. The micro journal bearing system was tested under very light loading and high-speed dry sliding conditions to determine its coefficient of friction and wear resistance properties. In this study, an adjustable platform with five degrees of freedom associated with a system for aligning laser beams was used to adjust the tribological test rig to increase the reliability of results obtained in the test. Furthermore, a new method of measuring the friction coefficient of friction pairs by a laser system was proposed. Experiment results reveal that the WC-based microbearing had better wear resistance properties than the Cu-based microbearing, but the Cu-based microberaing with a TiN coating journal had a lower coefficient of friction.
