Ethical Issues That Nurses Encounter in their Clinical Practices: A Survey of Nurses in Mid-Taiwan Area

摘要

近年來由於先進醫療的衝擊及醫病關係之複雜已使得臨床倫理議題急遽增加，護理工作的挑戰性因此隨之加大。為提昇士氣與落實臨床倫理教學，護理人員工作上實際遭遇的倫理困擾於是成為必須探討的主題。本研究乃依質性研究結果之資料擬訂臨床倫理議題問卷，經信效度測試及項目分析(item analysis)後以中部地區護理人員做調查。本文針對調查結果予以討論，並對下一階段發展倫理量表提出建議。

The impact of advanced medical technologies on society and the complicated relationships between patients and caregivers have increased the ethical issues in medical society, and therefore made clinical nursing work more challenging. To encourage nurses and implement the ethical education practically, the ethical issues that nurses encounter in clinical practices should be explored. The items of a questionnaire were derived from the qualitative research data. After the satisfactory tests including item analysis was done, the questionnaire was then used as a tool to give the survey among the nurses of Mid-Taiwan area. The findings of the survey were discussed with some recommendations are provided for the next stage development of an ethical issue scale.
