Endoscopy is a popular technique for performing medical examination and diagnosis. However, it is also difficult to reprocess because of its complex design. Several factors that can cause defects, in the procedure are deficiencies related to cleaning, high-level disinfection usage, storage, infection control monitoring, and staff education programs. Such deficiencies could engender patients facing the risk of infection. Therefore, endoscopy room staff face a substantial challenge. This article analyzes reprocessing quality and shares the experience of medical center management. The author hopes that this research is useful for hospitals that want to improve standards in the future.
