活動介入對長照機構住民的希望靈性照護之衝擊

Effect of Activity Interventions on the Spiritual Care of Hope Among the Residents in Long-Term Care Facilities

摘要


長輩年紀大又多病以後,可能面臨沒有可以選擇的情況下,被迫遷移到陌生的地方,生活在一個制式有專人照顧的環境中,實則為自主權的喪失和原有人際關係連結的失落,於是,更多的身體和社會功能的衰退、無助與憂鬱。然而靈性被視為世人內在精神泉源,可提升內在和外在動能。因此,本文主要闡述藉由活動介入來促進長照機構住民和自己、他人、環境與至高者之間的連結和溝通,使個體能夠對目前和未來的生活事物感到有意義、有目的和有希望感,並因而提升個體身、心、社會與靈性的健康效益。亦期望激發長期機構照顧人員互動和溝通的能力,以促進住民的健康與老人的福祉。綜合言之,建議產、官、學者將來規劃活動評估及帶領的技能可列入長照機構照護人員在職教育訓練的內容。

Elderly adults often become ill after being forced to migrate to unfamiliar places. Even in long-term care facilities where they receive personal care, the loss of autonomy and interpersonal ties results in strong feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, and depression and a decline in physical and social function. Spirituality is considered a source of inner spiritual power that promotes inner and outer kinetic energy. Thus, through activities aimed at promoting a connection between the self, others, and the environment and the highest and communication, individuals can develop a sense of meaning, purpose, and hope, which can enhance their body, heart, and social and spiritual health. This article is aimed at educating long-term caregivers on how to interact and communicate with elderly adults and to promote the health and global well-being of the population. Therefore, assessment methods and leadership skills involved in activity interventions should be included in formal training and continuous education content for healthcare providers in long-term care facilities.
