日本流行語之華文傳入－以台灣殖民時期之漢字標記語為中心

How Japanese Vogue Words Were Transferred to Chinese-Focusing on Kenji Transcription in Japan-colonized Period

摘要

歷來對於流行語的研究多集中在“新”詞彙方面，但近年出現了米川(2002)溯及戰前、甚至明治時期之流行語的著作。
而本研究著眼於台灣日治時期（1895-1945年）日本內地之流行語在台使用的狀況。尤其因為漢字標記語較易融入華語中，本研究乃主要探討米川(2002)舉出1895-1945年間以漢字標記的流行語在當時台灣所刊行的資料中使用的情形。不但一窺當時日本流行語的特色，闡明各流行語流入台灣的時間，同時也發現了如「美容院」等台灣的用例早於日本的情形，並藉此彰顯了日治時期之資料在日本語學研究中的價值及重要性。

Existing studies on vogue words aimed at exploring contemporary neologism; while 米川(2002) summarized the vogue words emerging in before World War Ⅱ, up to the Meiji Period. Based on the vogue words listed in米川(2002), this paper studied how vogue words used in Japan during 1895-1945 were utilized in Taiwan. Chinese can easily adopt Kenji symbols, therefore, this work surveyed the literature pressed in Taiwan during the Japan-colonized period for tracking how the mentioned vogue words were therein used. The characteristics of those vogue words as well as the time these words were transferred to Taiwan were highlighted. We noted that some vogue words, such as 美容院, were used earlier in Taiwan than in Japan. The results shown in this work revealed the significance of literature data of Taiwan in Japan-colonized period to Japanese linguistics studies.
