從學習經歷不同的觀點探討影響台灣人日語學習者學習母音無聲化的因素

The Effect of Learning Career on the Acquisition of Devoiced Vowels in Japanese by Taiwanese Japanese Learners

摘要


本稿之目的旨在藉由語音實驗,探討影響台灣人日語學習者產生母音無聲化的學習因素。首先,為了解學習者的母音無聲化現況,收集了龐大的語音資料。並採用語音分析軟體來判定無聲化的產生與否,以求得到可信度較高的實驗結果。在客觀的分析判定下發現:雖無法像日語母語話者般規則性地產生無聲化,但大部分的學習者皆呈現良好的無聲化現象。此外,為了解學習時間、留日時間、是否接受過發音教育等條件,是否為影響母音無聲化的因素,挑選了條件各不相同的學習者來參與語音實驗。並藉由無聲化率與上述三項條件的相關分析,來確認各學習因素影響學習者產生母音無聲化的程度。研究結果顯示,上述三項條件中,是否接受過發音教育是唯一影響學習者學習母音無聲化的因素。換句話說,藉由發音教育所培養出的掌握日語語音特徵的能力,是唯一使學習者能適切地產生母音無聲化的方法。

The aim of this paper is to investigate the acquisition of devoiced vowels in Japanese by Taiwanese Japanese learners (hereafter refers to as ”learners”). According to the previous studies, no vowel devoicing occurs even in a typical devoiced environment. To verify the accuracy of such argument, the present study explores and analyzes high vowels between voiceless consonants in Japanese acoustically. Additionally, in order to understand the influence of nonlinguistic factors on the acquisition of devoiced vowels in Japanese, observed participants are divided into 3 groups in terms of (a) the length of learning Japanese, (b) the length of stay in Japan, and (c) the prior experience of pronunciation lessons. Through correlation analysis, the learners, prior experience of pronunciation lessons, is the only reason that certainly affects the frequency of devoicing in Japanese. Findings of the present study suggest that pronunciation instruction will greatly improve the acquisition of devoiced vowels in Japanese.
