Adiposity and Intestinal Motility in Hypothalamic Hyperphagic Rats

摘要

本實驗以二種方法觀察正常白鼠及下視丘貪食白鼠在不同情況下之小腸運動，結果發現下視丘貪食白鼠之小腸運動與正常白鼠無顯著差異。限制食量後，貪食白鼠之體重雖與正常鼠相當，但體脂肪含量大增，顯示破壞下視丘腹內側核後可能引起原發性的脂肪代謝異常。

Intestinal motility of normal and hyperphagic tats were studied by using both Macht's modified method and Magnus' suspension method. The intestinal motility of hyperphagic rats was found to be within the normal range of varation of control rats. Fat content of restrict-fed hyperphagic rats(whose body weight were reduced to the control weight level and maintained at that level for6 to 10 days)was found to be significantly higher when compared with control tats. This finding suggests that ventromedial lesions may have caused some primary metabolic defect in addition to the regulatory defect.
