臺灣看天田的稻作改良研究(第一報)

Studies on the Improvement of Rice Production in Weather Dependent Fields of Taiwan (Preliminary Report)

摘要


(1)臺灣水田面積爲532,565公頃,其中看天田約有100,500公頃,佔水田總面積之19.0強%左右,看天田缺水生育不良1年間稻作生產損失,據估計每公頃兩期作爲2000公斤,總計達201,000公噸之鉅。 (2)凡水稻品種,生育上需水量較多,於本所按照下記試驗所得成果觀之,於缺水地帶及看天田,概不宜栽培應用(供試品種臺中65號)。 (表格略) (3)關於看天田的適宜稻作品種,爲適應看天田的時常缺水情形起見,須兼具耐濕耐旱之性能,即於水田及旱田均能適用之稻種爲基本條件。 (4)於本所研究育成選出陸稻新品種農旱壹號,經本所試驗結果,具有兼優之耐濕耐旱性,其成績如下圖,但是否適應看天田栽培應用,需待今後於看天田現地舉行試作。 (表格略) (5)上述各項資料,係初步研究所得成果,爲配合改良本省看天田的糧食增產起見,須繼續深入研究。

From the above viewpaints newby deueloped variety up-land Rice Nonghang No. 1 seems to be more adapted to the ”Kan Tian Tien” area than Present varieties although burther experiments should be conducted. 5. To, extend this variety to the irrigation less or Kan Tian Tien areas in this Prouince is rather promising.
