Preliminary Report on the Parasitoids of Lepidopterous Insects of Sweet-Potato in Taiwan

摘要

本文報導臺灣產11種甘藷鱗翅類害蟲之寄生性天敵23種及其重複寄生蜂14種。其中以寄生於甘藷鳥羽蛾(Ochyrotica concursa)與白鳥羽蛾(Alucita niveodactyla)幼蟲之雙溝小繭蜂(Apanteles bisulcata)在本省藷田發生最多，本省由北至南全年均有發現，其寄生率爲10.53-71.36%，似可認定其爲本省甘藷烏羽蛾之有效天敵。該蜂乃本省新記錄種，本文描述其形態與特徵。

The survey on the parasitoids of lepidopterous insects of sweet-potato was carried out from January to December of 1977 in Taiwan. Twenty-three species of parasitoids (table 1) and fourteen species of hyperparasitoids (table 2) were reared from eleven species of lepidopterous insects of sweet-potato. Among them, Apanteles bisulcata Cameron (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) may be considered as one of the most promising biological control agents of Ochyrotica concursa (Lepidoptera: Pterophoridae) in Taiwan. The percentage of parasitism of the parasitoid ranged from 10.53% to 71.36% through the year. Apanteles bisulcata is a new record of Taiwan and the first recorded parasitoid of Alucita niveodactyla (Lepidoptera: Pterophoridae) in the world. The morphological description and figure of the braconid are presented.
