1.全身鱗片發生以體側部為最先,接着背部,而後腹部。沿體軸的方向在靠近身體前端鱗片的發生要早於靠近身體的後端。 2.各部位鱗片發生後的生長速率,體側部和腹部者要比背部者為大。 3.不同部位鱗片的大小、形狀及鱗相在與身體體軸成垂直方向的鱗片的差異要比沿身體體軸方向鱗片的差異來得顯著。 4.推測鱗片初生時之體長約為12 cm。 5.臺灣南部近海黄鰭鮪鱗片的大小,和西部太平洋者較為接近,比印度洋者略大。 6.年輪每年形成2次,時間為4至5月及9至10月,卽在產卵初期及產卵後期各形成一次。7.有關Von Bertalanffy的成長方程式的parameters,K為0.333,L(下标 ∞)為192.8 cm,t(下标 o)為0.12 Years。年齡別的成長情形推測如下: 年齡 0 Ⅰ Ⅱ Ⅲ Ⅳ 體長(cm) -49 49-90 90-118 118-140 140- 8.臺灣內部曳繩釣漁業對象羣的加入時間為6至7月,而延繩釣漁業對象羣的加入時間為8至9月。
The age and growth of yellowfin tuna caught from the waters around the southern part of Taiwan were estimated by scale-reading. The parameters of the Von Bertalanffy growth equation were estimated as follows. L(subscript ∞)=193 cm, K=0.333 and t(subscript o)=0.12.It seems that the growth of the yellowfin from the waters around the southern part of Taiwan is similar to that of the yellowfin from the western Pacific and slightly different from that of the Indian Ocean. According to the length composition data, the yellowfin recruitedin to the trolling fishery during June and July and into the longline fishery during August and September in the waters around southern part of Taiwan.
