臺灣東北部九孔貝生殖生態之研究

The Biology of Reproduction in the Abalone, Haliotis Diversicolor Supertexta Lischke, in the Northeastern Taiwan

摘要


本報告是臺彎東北部九孔貝,Haliotis diversicolor supertexta Lischke,生殖生態之研究,其結果如下: 1.九孔貝為雌雄異體。生殖腺包在肝臟外面,非成熟時期不易認出性別,隨著成熟而逐漸增厚且出現顏色,雌者為深綠色,雄者為乳白色。 2.雌雄比為1:1,且性比不因成長及季節而改變。 3.最初成熟時之殼長為3.0cm至3.5cm。 4.產卵期為6月至10月。 5.九孔貝成熟度指數之變化與當地平均表層海水溫度之變化,有極密切之關係。即生殖腺隨著水溫昇高而逐漸成熟、增大;排精、排卵過後,生殖腺隨著水溫下降而逐漸萎縮。

The abalone, Haliotis diversicolor supertexta Lischke, were sampled monthly from Santiochiao at the northeastern coast of Taiwan from March 1975 to October 1976. Maturity of each sample was determined by gonad index. Sex ratio, size at first sexual maturity, annual reproductive cycles of the species, and relation of the spawning periodicity to the sea water temperature were investigated. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Haliotis diversicolor supertexta Lischke is dioecious, with extensive superficial gonad. The gonad lies around the digestive gland and part of the stomach which together form the rudimentary visceral coil. The color of maturing gonad is dark green in female and cream in male. 2. Males and females are represented equally in the population and sex ratio does not change with season or growth. 3. The onset of sexual maturity is observed at a shell length of 3.0-3.5cm. 4. Spawning begins in June and continues till October for most members of the population. 5. It is suggested that the reproductive periodicity is closely correlated to the sea water temperature. `
