摘要

臺灣西北部海域産白沙貂鮫爲屬胎生胎盤型，在姙娠期間會形成子宮間隔。左邊卵巢退化，僅右邊卵巢具有功能。本種的性成熟體長雌雄分別爲680mm及640mm。左右子宮內胎兒數爲5~30尾，平均爲14尾，均隨母體長的增加而比例的增加。本種之生殖期爲3~4月，而胎兒的出産體長爲260mm。胎兒的性比爲1：1。排卵交尾受精大約在5~7月間，姙娠期約爲9~10個月。

Smooth dogfish, Mustelus griseus in northwestern Taiwan waters belongs to viviparous placental type, and develops the uterine compartments during gestation. The left ovary is rudimentary throughout the life, and only the right ovary is functional. This species reaches sexual maturity when it grows about 680 mm in female and 640 mm in male. The number of embryos contained in both uteri is 5 to 30, and average is 14, increasing proportionally with the total length of the female parent. In this water, the parturition season is March through April and the embryo at birth is approximately 260mm in total length. The sex ratio of embryos for each parent is almost near 1:1. The ovulation, mating and fertilization occur mainly from May to July. The gestation period is approximately 9 to 10 months.
