The Stimulatory Effects of 3, 5, 3'-Triiodo-L-Thyronine on the Content of Liver Soluble Protein in Tilapia

甲狀腺素促進吳郭魚肝臟蛋白質含量之增加

摘要


本研究之目的在探討甲狀腺素(3,5,3'-triiodo-L-thyronine, T3)對吳郭魚成長,肝臟DNA與蛋白質含量之影響。吳郭魚分爲3組,分別投餵含有0、1與10 ppm T3之飼料。結果顯示1 ppm與10 ppm之T3對吳郭魚成長、體重、飼料轉換效率、成長率與飼料攝食量並無影響。含1-ppm T3對肝臟蛋白質與DNA含量均無影響。

The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of low doses of 3, 5, 3'-triiodo-L-thyronine (T3) in the growth parameters, liver DNA and soluble protein in hybride maletilapia (Oreochromis niloticus x O. aureus) by oral administration. Juvenile tilapia (n=135, mean body weight=1.08±0.04g) were divided into three groups and each fed for 8 weeks with formulated diet containing 0, 1 and 10 ppm of T3. Each group had 3 replicates and each replicate of fish was weighed biweekly. Body weight, gain, in weight, feed conversion efficiency, specific growth rate and feed consumption did not significantly differ among the control and T3-treated groups. Liver soluble protein content and protein/DNA ratio signifciantly increased in the 1 ppm T3 group as compared to those in the control group. No change of liver soluble protein and protein/DNA ratio was observed in the T3-treated tilapia fed at 10 ppm.
