Effects of Blood Meal Inclusion Levels in Rice Bran Based Diets on the Palatability, Growth, and Feed Utilization of Juvenile Tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus)

此研究在於決定以米麩為主成分的幼吳郭魚粒狀飼料中,血粉最適的摻入量以獲得最佳的嗜口性、成長、及飼糧利用。不分性別的幼吳郭魚在21.1±0.9℃塑膠桶中養15天並由之任食分別含5, 12, 20, 27, 33及40%血粉飼糧BM5, BM12, BM20, BM27, BM33及BM40。由單位體重攝食量(Fl)為指標的嗜口性隨著高於12%的血粉量的增加而降低,同時也隨著養殖時間而降低。實驗模式顯示獲得最佳Fl最適摻入血粉量為7.85%。嗜口性不良歸諸於米麩中的誘引物質較少,血粉嗜口性差,以及水溫低。BM12成長及飼糧利用率最佳,不分前後之BM20與BM15次之,BM27及BM33又次之。BM40表現極差而未列入統計測驗。飼糧粗蛋白以及米麩及血粉的嗜口性及胺基酸組成皆影響到吳郭魚的成長與飼糧利用。

The optimal inclusion level of blood meal (BM) in rice bran (RB) based pellet diet that would result in the highest palatability, growth, and feed utilization for juvenile tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus) was determined. Mix sex juvenile tilapia were reared in plastic tanks at 21.1±0.9℃ for 15 days and fed to satiation 6 RB based experimental diets: BM05, BM12, BM20, BM27, BM33, and BM40, which contained 5, 12, 20, 27, 33, and 40% BM, respectively. Palatability, as indicated by feed intake (Fl) per body weight, decreased with increasing BM levels above 12% and with elapsed rearing time. An empirical model showed that the optimal BM inclusion level would be 7.85% for highest Fl. Poor palatability was attributed to few attractants in RB, weak palatability in BM, and low water temperature. BM12 had the best growth and feed utilization, followed concurrently by BM20 and BM15, and BM27 and BM33. BM40 gave extremely poor performance and was not put under statistical test. Dietary crude protein and the palatability and amino add profile of RB and BM all affected growth and feed utilization in tilapia.
