In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in nanostructured materials because of their potential applications in magnetic, electronic and micromechanical devices. In this study, we report the electrochemical method for the synthesis of highly ordered Ni nanowire arrays within anodic alumina oxide (AAO) template. The electrolyte adopted in this study is the Watt's solution. The experimental results show that high density, well-aligned, uniform Ni nanowire arrays with variable lengths can be easily fabricated by this method.
