Crystallization Behavior of a ZrAlCuNi Bulk Amorphous Alloy Doped with Boron

本研究首先利用真空電弧熔解及墜落鑄造法將Zr(下標 65-x)Al7.5Cu17.5Ni10B(下標 x)合金製成0.5~2mm厚之試片,然後藉由DTA及DSC的熱分析及高溫光學顯微鏡來探討該合金之結晶行爲和合金於結晶前後微結構之演變。由實驗結果發現Zr(下標 65-x)Al7.5Cu17.5Ni10B(下標 x)合金之玻璃轉化溫度並沒有隨硼含量之變化而有很大的變化,大約均發生於645K附近。然而該合金系之結晶溫度則有隨硼含量增加而有增加之趨勢,且於硼含量達4 at.%時可獲得一相當大之玻璃態-結晶態溫度區間,約88K。同時亦由高溫顯微金相觀察到非晶質合金直接成核之金相。

The amorphous Zr(subscript 65-x)Al7.5Cu17.5Ni10B(subscript x) alloys with 0.5~2 mm thicknesses were prepared by arc melting and drop cast in a water-cooled copper mold. The crystallization behavior and microstructure development during the annealing of amorphous alloys has been investigated by a combination of differential thermal analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, and high-temperature optical microscope. The glass transition temperature for Zr(subscript 65-x)Al7.5Cu17.5Ni10B(subscript x) alloys is measured around 645 K with very small deviation. But the crystallization temperature will increase with increasing the boron content to 4 at. % and obtains a relative large temperature interval ΔT(subscript x) about 88 K. Meanwhile, the crystallization metallography during annealing the amorphous alloy also revealed a clear glass-crystalline transition form the amorphous matrix.
