摘要


本研究係利用相容化效應的方法來達到增韌PET/HDPE摻合物的目的,而其中促成PET與HDPE相容化效應的主要原因係使用馬來酐(MA)接枝POE彈性體的POE-g-MA共聚合物當相容劑。利用遠紅外線光譜鑑定分析、掃描式電子顯微鏡、衝擊試驗及流變行爲分析等來研究POE-g-MA在PET/HDPE摻合物中在界面接著性及衝繫強度性質之改善效應。結果顯示,POE-g-MA能大幅改善PET/HDPE的衝擊強度,並且由於POE-g-MA與PET/HDPE摻合物能形成交互反應,在PET/HDPE摻合加工時,能有效降低HDPE分散在PET基材中顆粒的粒徑,POE-g-MA的添加也會提昇PET/HDPE摻合物的視粘度。

In this study, a compatibilization strategy for Poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and high density Polyethylene (HDPE) blends to achieve high toughness is described. Blends of PET and HDPE compatibilized with maleic anhydride (MA)-grafted-Polyethylene-octene elastomer (POE-g-MA) were characterized. The effect of POE-g-MA on interfacial adhesion and impact-strength properties of PET/HDPE blends was investigated through infrared spectrum (IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observation, impact testing, and rheoloyical beharior analysis. The results showed that the impact strength of PET/HDPE blends was dramatically improved by blending with POE-g-MA. The size of HDPE particles in PET matrix were sharply reduced due to interaction between POE-g-MA and PET/HDPE blends during melt processing. The addition of POE-g-MA to PET/HDPE blends lead to apparent viscosity buildup.
